FAT HEAD FLOATING MINNOW: HD FLY TYING VIDEO

"A video for the Fat Head Floating Minnow has been requested more times then I can count. So, here it is!" -Jesse Males

The Fat Head Floating Minnow was a design I came up with in order to create a floating minnow pattern that would be useful on the flats for redfish, snook, seatrout, and baby tarpon, but that could also be fished in a larger form for black tuna, yellowfin tuna, and roosterfish.Below is my HD Fly Tying Video showing you all the steps you need to whip a few up yourself!https://youtu.be/cEmW6bF_D9YAs you can see this fly incorporated a number of different synthetic materials in order to build a fly that will last after multiple fish and perform well in the water. The action on this fly when stripped is almost a cross between a gurgler and a popper. Some strips are pops, some are quick darts, and sometimes it just slides on the surface. The erratic action drives fish crazy.
Be sure to give this fly a try for your next trip. It works well on largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, redfish, seatrout, snook, baby tarpon, and much much more!If you enjoyed this video be sure to leave a comment below and check me out on Instagram and Facebook @backwaterflyfishingTight lines!Jesse Males
