Belize has long been on my radar and things got even more serious once I found out that Bote Boards had teamed up with Cayo Frances Farm & Fly to build what they called the "Bote House". This  made buying a plane ticket quite easy and after a few conversations with Jeff Spiegel, the owner of Cayo Frances Farm & Fly, my plans were made and all I had to do now was convince a few friends to go with me!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=paDqCHa9_XcAfter some of my friends found out about the trip we had the place booked up for a week and before we knew it we were all flying into San Pedro, Belize on a puddle jumper and looking forward to feeding bonefish all the gnarly flies we had whipped up!
The cool thing about this area is that when the weather is right finding bonefish is easy and a shot at a permit becomes a real possibility. During this trip my friend Dani Rasta stuck gold on a bonefish, a nice permit, and a snook in the same day. This put us in a real position to get a super slam DIY style. Unfortunately despite looking around the camp until dark we didn't get to land the tarpon. Nonetheless it was still and epic trip filled with good times and great fishing all around the Bote House.Cayo Frances Farm & Fly If you are interested in checking out Cayo Frances Farm & Fly with me, I will be hosting a trip May 2020.
