Renegade Rock Pant by KÜHL. The Search Is OVER!!!
This summer is set to be full of awesome experiences here in Montana. While most of my time will be spent guiding fly fishing, I have been spending plenty of afternoons hiking through the mountains and checking remote creeks for high mountain cutthroat trout.
I have known of the brand KüHL for the past 8 years or so. I first came across their products while working at a backpacking store in Central Florida but never really put their products to the test until now. During the past two weeks I have been testing out two of their products, the Renegade Rock Pant and the Radikl Outsider Pant.
Both of these products are amazing but I prefer the tapered fit of the Renegade Rock Pant overall. Here are my thoughts and some images from my adventures so far.
Below, I will breakdown this product in three different ways: FIT - DESIGN - PERFORMANCE

FIT: 9/10
Since I prefer a tapered fit to most of my pants, I selected this option for the Renegade Rock Pant. In this case, the legs and thighs fit perfectly and even the waist is spot on. The only thing that could be improved is a bit of stretch in the waistline. However, that is probably me just being picky. I have put about 30 miles in on these pants and I am absolutely loving them.
DESIGN: 10/10
Pocket access on these pants is spot on and perfect for outdoor adventures. They have a combination of zipper pockets, open pockets, and various pocket sizes to fit all the gear you could possibly have. Pocket knives, chapstick, cellphone, you name it, these pants can carry it.
PERFORMANCE: 9/10
There is no doubt that a ton of thought went into designing these pants. The rugged stitching pattern makes these pants flow perfectly as your hiking steep inclines and really bending a bunch at the knee and lifting your thigh. Overall this is one of the best features of these pants.
Over the years I have made it a rule to only showcase products that I truly believe in on my platforms. I am pretty confident that these pants are "next level" and certainly worth the buy for your next adventure!
If you pick up a pair, be sure to let me know your thoughts!
Much love!
